URL Control Table
If you're using CICS Web Support (CWS) you've probably noticed that IBM provides only limited help when it comes to securing your newly Web-aware CICS applications. And, as you know, opening your traditionally internal CICS applications to the world has many security implications. WebTek helps resolve these security issues with the URL Control Table (UCT).
Need an analyzer?
One security limitation is that IBM provides only sample analyzer programs with CWS. The analyzer is the key component to controlling access to CICS applications from the Web. If you've attempted to develop an analyzer, you know that creating one secure and robust enough for real Web access is a difficult and time-consuming task.

UCT provides security
The UCT allows you to manage access to CICS applications. Some applications might require that users specify their user ID and password and others might only require a general user ID and password. With UCT, you can design entries to force initial checks against security access facilities (SAF) such as RACF, provide a method of bypassing CICS security to avoid multiple signons, or address unique security requirements for specific applications.
